About Charles City WhiteWater at Riverfront Park
Charles City WhiteWater at Riverfront Park was designed by Recreation Engineering and Planning (REP) from Boulder, Colorado, designers of approximately 80% of the whitewater courses built in the United States. The Charles City course encompasses 11 acres of water with three world-class whitewater features rated at Class II and III, depending on water levels. The surrounding Riverfront Park includes 23 acres of land featuring a handicap accessible boat launch, disc golf course, natural play area, amphitheater, picnic shelter, storm water fountain, labyrinth, and access to the community’s more than 5 miles of recreational trails. The park is free and open to the public 24/7.
