The Charles City WhiteWater at Riverfront Park is a park built for all river enthusiasts.
The WhiteWater park is built with three distinct features; all of which have a safer chute on the river left side conducive to bypassing the wave features.
Dam Drop
The first feature is the signature Dam Drop that provides glassy front surfing with an easily accessible foam pile for beginner/intermediate freestyle paddlers.
Doc’s Drop
Advanced paddlers will flock to the second drop, named Doc’s Drop. The feature is a powerful and aggressive freestyle hole conducive to dynamic aerial moves. National level competitions will be held in this feature and less experienced boaters will find it challenging to punch the hole.
Exit Exam
The last feature is the Exit Exam, which is a feature conducive to front surfing and beginner/intermediate surfing and freestyle moves.
All of the features have large eddies below for rest and recovery, plus easy eddy access from the river right.
Tubers like to know that the course is 3/4 of a mile long featuring each of these drops. There are two set-in points to start your journey, and a paved trail to walk back to the start of the course.
Boat Ramp
Multiple access points, including an ADA boat ramp, are located within the park for park-and-play enthusiasts plus an upstream and downstream access for float-through adventures makes the Charles City WhiteWater park a must see adventure for your family.
