350cfs
  • It seems to me that under 350cfs the play(vertical) is mostly gone from the features. Still nice surfing and spinning. SUPing may be real nice at these current levels.
  • CC realizes that at low levels whitewater kayak play is nearly gone. We still do have visitors coming to look at the course (group from Manchester this coming Friday afternoon) and other users whom are using the course for other recreation (I heard of many tubers this past weekend having a riot). It is good that CC has a course that can be used nearly year round for one type of recreation or another, but agree that if you are a whitewater boater- send rain!- just not too much ;)
  • John, you're a ww stud. The new up and comers in CC aren't. We all honed our ww teeth on easy stuff. The Clay Hole at 1000 cfs was intimidating to me at first. That was 10 or more years ago. Had we had the features then like CC has now I might be better than I am right now. Baby steps....

  • It's probably a very good level to take new boaters out and work with them on basic skills. If I lived closer, I'd be there every weekend with a couple boats trying to get people into them so they could try out the water.
  • I went today after the rain and caught the level between 375 down to 340. It wasn't too bad, real nice flat spins on the far right break of Exit Exam! Hopefully we get some more late fall rains after I am done with corn harvest.
